I got mah nails did.

After work, I thought about just going straight home and falling asleep in a Mrs. Stouffer’s frozen entrée. And I did, eventually, but first I got my nails done.

So I did. Kathy and I tried to get brunch at Chicago’s Rosscoe’s, but there was an hour long wait. On such a fine day, I’d normally have no problems waiting but I could hear my stomach growling, so off to Wishbone we drove. Where I stuffed my face with some croissants stuffed with egg, bacon, spinach, and cream cheese. And cheese grits. Oh the cheese grits!

Afterwards — mani/pedis at Nail Spa ($27!), quick stop at Starbucks for iced tea, and then “Leatherheads”. Belated birthday fun for meeeeeeeee.

what i bought today

Not a lot today, but one big-ish ticket item…

• plane ticket to PHL to see Nadine, geek out over HP7 together, and hang at the Jersey Shore

• mani/pedi at Nail Spa – Chanel nail polish in Jasmine on toes, Essie nail polish in Starter Wife on fingers

what i bought yesterday: TGIF

• refurbished 30GB iPod — it was even cheaper than usual as I got an instant rebate of $30 as soon as my order was processed.

• manicure and pedicure from my favorite cheapie salon in Lincoln Park — Essie ‘Starter Wife’ (part of Essie’s ‘Starting Over’ collection, which is a big old tie-in with this tv moviered-headed chick who was on “Jack and Karen”) on hands, Chanel ‘Jasmine’ on feet. I would post a picture but I am too lazy to get out of bed and get my camera.
